We love a summer wedding or baptism ceremony and the carefree atmosphere of that season. However, but most of all, we love to create events that are inspired by this season! Summer is positive, vibrant, easy-going and that’s why we love it so much. Moreover, there are watermelons in the summertime, and frankly what’s sweeter than them? We have an answer; Marianna, our sweet baby girl needed our team to plan her Baptism ceremony in Agia Filothei!

THE CHRISTENING CONCEPT

For Marianna’s special day we wanted something fun and quirky. Moreover, we wanted something unique that everyone would remember in the years to come! Therefore, we got inspired by the colors of the summer and the watermelons that were plenty! We wanted all the details to remind us of juicy watermelons and summertime.

The baby’s clothes were boho and summery; a little white dress with crochet details and pompoms on the hemline. Furthermore, Marianna’s godparents chose the cutest leather sandals with crochet ribbon details for her baptism ceremony in Agia Filothei! Moreover, her handmade christening candle had crochet lace and a little watermelon pillow that matched the christening favors perfectly.

THE BAPTISM CEREMONY

It’s not a secret that summer in Greece is very warm. So we wanted our guests to feel refreshed and comfortable on the day of this baptism ceremony in Agia Filothei. We had a refreshments stand with lots of cold homemade pink lemonade and cucumber flavored water for everyone to enjoy after the christening. Because no event is truly complete without dessert, we designed a candy bar with the most delicious treats.

We used watermelon inspired macarons, cupcakes and cake pops! Also, we had sugar cookies looking like slices of watermelon and a magnificent cake, of course, inspired by our favorite summer fruit!

We custom made everything to match our watermelon theme. Table runners, paper candy cones, prints, and hand fans were all watermelon inspired! Also, to decorate our candy bar and refreshments stand we chose lovely garlands with Marianna’s name on them and of course, watermelons! Additionally, the floral arrangements were summer hydrangeas and pink roses for her baptism ceremony. For a fun twist, we used carved watermelons as bowls! It was great!

THE BAPTISM CEREMONY DETAILS

For the christening pins, we chose charming tassel necklaces for the ladies and pins for the men! Needless to say that everyone loved their vibrant colors and quirky style. Plus, we designed a wooden wish box for guests to write their wishes to the little one. In addition, we created unique baptism favors! Custom made round boxes with a watermelon top and satin ribbon ties in a pale watermelon pink shade. Moreover, for the little ones attending the baptism ceremony, we had lollipops, bubbles, and marshmallows! Lovely, right?

Our team curated all the details of this event to highlight the carefree summer days and the juicy sweetness of the watermelon! Furthermore, we had a lot of fun preparing it and we loved every moment of Marianna’s special day. We wish her and her family all the best and a life sweet as a watermelon!
