Each time we look at these pictures, we travel back to the beginning of our past wedding seasons. One of our favorites, this amazing destination wedding in Kalamata, still has our heart. Kalamata is a fantastic town by the sea, with beautiful architecture and lots of history. It was no surprise that our adventurous couple chose it to tie the knot. On a sunny clear day, Marilena and Jeff became husband and wife. People traveled from all over the world to attend their wedding and the atmosphere was very emotional. Friends and family filled the air with love and together with Marilena and Jeff created the most beautiful wedding story.

THE CONCEPT

The city of Kalamata is famous for its infinite olive trees and consequently the olive oil! So, we knew from the first moment that we should use olive branches for the decoration of this destination wedding in Kalamata. Also, olive trees are a symbol of peace, unity, and victory. Moreover, the couple’s favorite hobby is traveling, so we knew the concept of the wedding from the beginning. The stationery and the details of the wedding were based on this concept. The invitation was a boarding pass, the favors were compasses and the sitting chart was a big map. Adventurous, right?

For this destination wedding in Kalamata, our team created the floral arrangements with summer flowers, hydrangeas, peonies, and olive leaves. The combination of the silvery green of the olive leaves and the fresh summer flowers was to die for!
