Sifnos wedding

Popi and Zacharias had the ultimate summer wedding in Sifnos! We’re talking about a summery Greek island, endless sunlight, a beach party, fireworks, a white chapel, and cobbled stone streets to wander around hand in hand! Does it get any better than this Sifnos wedding? We think not!

Our lovely couple got married in late July, right in the heart of summer. Choosing an island was the best choice for this destination wedding! Sifnos Island of the Cyclades, located in the heart of the Aegean Sea. This was the one that matched the couple’s style and personalities. Moreover, it was bright, beautiful, picturesque and vibrant like the bride and groom! They wanted the perfect start to their life together and that’s exactly what we gave them, lots of lovely memories and lots of stories to tell!

SIFNOS WEDDING CONCEPT

We wanted to create a romantic elegant event to match the couple’s personality and taste. So, we chose the ultimate summer color; white, with dusty blue details. Furthermore, the island was the perfect scenery and the sunlight made everything look polished and sharp. Our stationary and wedding invitations were custom made in a lovely dusty blue watercolor and they looked amazing.

For the flower arrangements, we wanted the carefree elegance of white flowers with greenery. So, we chose eucalyptus, hypericum berries, white wildflowers, velvety roses, white tulips and fragrant peonies (symbol of good fortune, a happy marriage, and everlasting prosperity!). It was the ultimate flower combination! In addition, the flower decoration in the church matched the bridal bouquet. Also, we made little wreaths out of tiny flowers for the name tags on our tables!

THE COUPLE

Popi, our lovely bride, chose a romantic lace wedding dress for her Sifnos wedding that made her look like a Greek goddess. Additionally, she opted for beach waves and some flowers in her hair, the perfect summer wedding hairstyle! She chose a pair of champagne gold high heels to take her first steps a wife in and she was breath-taking! Zacharias was debonair as a modern Clark Gable for his wedding day. He chose a classic navy blue suit and brown leather shoes. What made the suit pop was the polka dot necktie, very charming indeed!

SIFNOS WEDDING DAY

Since it was a hot summer’s day we set a refreshment stand with lemonade (the recipe is our secret!) and flavored water, as well as little treats for our guests to nibble on. Plus, there were hand fans for everyone for this Sifnos destination wedding! To welcome the guests to the wedding celebration after the ceremony, we created little boxes with raki, florentines, and koufeta (sugar-coated almonds). Also, we set up a dreamy candy bar full of delicious treats. We chose marbled macaroons in dusty blue shades, mini cupcakes, sugar cookies, and meringues. In addition, for a traditional Greek touch, we offered diples. Diples are a delicious Greek treat for weddings. Essentially, they are treats of crispy dough coated with honey and almonds to symbolize good fortune! Sifnos wedding cake was simple, elegant, and delicious. So, so beautiful, and just what was needed for a Sifnos destination!

Our team set the tables with crisp white tablecloths. Moreover, we used silver cutlery, crystal glassware, porcelain dishes, and dusty blue linen napkins. What thrilled everyone was the little flower wreath name tags, they were so romantic! For the flower centerpieces, we used the same flowers as the wedding bouquet. The summer wildflowers, the tulips, the roses, and the eucalyptus were the perfect choice. They made the atmosphere smelling like a meadow!

THE WEDDING PARTY

We love watching people having fun! In addition, we know that what makes a wedding celebration unforgettable is a glorious party. For Popi and Zacharias, this was very important. Everyone had so much fun at their Sifnos wedding! They danced and laughed until the morning under the starlit sky. Furthermore, the fireworks show was the ultimate party entertainment to celebrate the union of these lovely young people!

It was a magic night, an unforgettable event for everyone! We wish the lovely couple long and fulfilling life and all the luck in the world!
